The Fund is a founding member of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI), an international non-profit association established in 2002, which purpose is to contribute to the stability of financial systems by strengthening the role of deposit guarantee schemes and investor compensation schemes as well as promoting European cooperation in these fields.

Since 2021, the Fund is a member of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI), a forum for deposit insurers from around the world, which mission is to contribute to the enhancement of deposit insurance effectiveness by promoting guidance and international cooperation.
